Notice: 8/31/2026 10:30am – Due to the forecast high temperatures Monday, August 31 through Thursday, September 3 we will likely be placed under a Peak Power Alert 1 or 2 days during this time.

Currently it is anticipated that Peak Power Alerts may be issued for Tuesday, September 1st, Wednesday, September 2nd and /or Thursday, September 3rd of this week. Please note that today Monday, August 31st, may also be a Peak Power Alert day although at this time it has not been announced.

If a Peak Power Alert is issued for our area, notifications will be sent out using the UMS utilities billing system.

You can help contribute to the stability of our electric rates by raising your thermostat a couple of degrees and by avoiding the use of high electric consumption appliances such as clothes dryers and ovens during the listed times.
